This Ontario park has breathtaking views of a lake & stunning fall foliage

Nature enthusiasts will need to head north of the province to explore our next Ontario park adventure. If you live for great hiking trails, enjoy a historical fact here and there, as well as taking in the beautiful sights of the surrounding fall foliage, Restoule Provincial Park is the place to be.

Located just over three hours north of Toronto to Restoule PP, an outdoor lovers’ paradise. Surrounded by lakes to be enjoyed on a canoe, kayaking, boats, and even for a swim when the weather is right, this provincial park offers several opportunities to be enjoyed.

There’s a haunted ride within Ontario’s forests & it’s not for the weak

Hit the ground running as you explore over 10 km of hiking trails that lead to beautiful scenic views, bluffs, and more. According to Ontario Parks, the “must do” hiking trail here is the Fire Tower Trail.

This 4.1 km adventure guides you through mature forests, boardwalks, and rocky ridges. Here you can catch a great view of Amber Lake and the bright fall colours that take over its forests, and also pass by a historic Fire Tower.

To top it off, after a pretty challenging climb, it’ll lead you to a fantastic view of Stormy Lake atop a 100-meter bluff. You can explore the other trails and check out the Ontario Parks map here.

Last but not least, bring your four legged friend to Bells Point Beach. It is a pet-friendly spot and geared towards being more of an exercise area for your pup.

Fee

According to Ontario Parks, the cost of a Day Use permit depends on the time of the year whether it be on or off-season, and by park.

For more park-specific fees, contact the park directly.

Have a great rest of your summer!
