November is here and the 11th isn’t far behind. This year, whether you’re hoping to pay your respects online or in person there are plenty of incredible Remembrance Day ceremonies happening in Calgary and around the country. Remembrance Day Service

Featuring a performance of The Last Post, a moment of silence, and memorial wreaths, Calgarians are encouraged to attend The Military Museum’s 2023 Remembrance Day Ceremony, either online or in person. For those who cannot attend, this event will also be offered online at the link above.

When:  Saturday, November 11th, 2023
Where: 4520 Crowchild Trail SW
Time: 10:25 am to 12:00 pm
Cost: Free

Field of Crosses

Honouring Canadian soldiers past and present, Calgarians are encouraged to visit the Night of Lights on the 10th or visit the Field of Crosses on the 11th during the day. This is one of Calgary’s most incredible Remembrance Day ceremonies, so if you’d like to pay your respects, you can’t miss it.

Studio Bell

This November visit Calgary’s Studio Bell National Music Center between 10 am and 5 pm for a special service featuring Central Alberta Chamber Players, world-class bagpiper Bill Hawes, and singer-songwriter Steve Jevne. In addition to this, Veterans and active service members will be able to explore the museum for free.

When: Saturday, November 11th, 2023

Time: 10 am to 5 pm
Cost: Free for veterans

National Remembrance Day Ceremony

One of the largest in Canada, this incredible ceremony encourages all Canadians to remember those who have served and fallen in the military. During this service, people all over the country can pay their respects with a performance of the Last Post, prayers, two minutes of silence, and a 21-gun salute.

Hangar Flight Museum Remembrance Day Ceremony

Have the day off? Attend the annual service held at the Hangar Flight Museum or tune in to CTV to watch live footage of the moving morning service and honour our veterans both the past and present.
