It seems Canada already provided a big chunk of Reddit’s market online, so the move here was a no-brainer. As it stands, Canada is home to the social media platform’s third-largest user base. They follow closely behind the U.S. and the U.K. On top of that, the Canadian market has been growing at the crazy-high rate of 40% year-over-year. So, as we said, an on-the-ground office here was a pretty easy decision.

What’s great about the new office is it contributes to the rapidly growing tech industry we’ve got in the city. With new growth comes new job opportunities. You can learn more about Reddit’s Toronto expansion through the RedditBlog news release here.
