Hosted in cities all over the globe since 2000, this one-of-a-kind affair has seen an unbelievable mix of colourful pilots, adoring fans and, of course, wacky motorless vehicles.

Interested? Those who feel so inclined will be encouraged to build their own motor-less vehicle and then showcase its speed, road holding and flair in front of an adoring audience.

Dressed in costumes and fueled by adrenaline, contestants must attempt a daring descent down a course filled with steep slopes, bends and jumps all in hopes of winning over the crowd.

“We’re thrilled to host the Red Bull Soapbox Race and build off the excitement of the 2015 and 2018 Red Bull Crashed Ice events in Edmonton,” said Traci Bednard, Explore Edmonton president and CEO in a press release.

The race will also shine a global media spotlight on our city at the height of the North Saskatchewan River valley’s lush summer beauty.”

If you think you have what it takes apply now – but hurry! You’ve only got until March 27th, 2024 to do so,.

If of course, you’d rather spectate, it all goes down on June 22nd, 2024.
