Records broken and roads closed due to flooding from BC storm (PHOTOS)

This weekend proved to be an absolute doozy weather-wise, as a massive BC rain storm ripped through the Lower Mainland and beyond. Records got broken, roads were closed, and it looks like Monday might not be the end of it. Here’s a quick recap for you.

Throughout the night and into this morning, BC has been issuing a large number of road closures throughout the province due to flooding, mudslides and other hazards…

What’s more, certain municipalities, including parts of Abbotsford, have received evacuation orders or been told to prepare to evacuate due to flooding…

Not without good reason though, as some parts of BC saw their rainiest day on record over the weekend.

What does it all look like? We’ve rounded up some of the most astounding pictures and videos of the BC storm.

So yeah, the BC storm has been wild out there folks, and it’s looking like today might bring more of the same. So, stay aware of any alerts from official sources, and don’t be driving around closed roads if you can help it. Simple stuff, we know, but it must be said.
