If your summer playlist needs a little upgrade, head to the King Eddy for the Calgary Bluesfest Kickoff Bash. This free event will have Calgary’s Bluerock Junction taking over the legendary venue with their mix of blues, funk, and rock.

Gather your friends, family, and neighbours for an evening of summer fun at the YMCA Summer Community Festival. With games, activities for all ages, and a chance to support YMCA Calgary’s Greatest Needs Fund, it’s an easy way to enjoy the season while giving back.

Make your way over to the University District for an evening of local vendors, good eats, and live entertainment. It’s a great chance to shop local and check out one of Calgary’s liveliest neighbourhoods.

Need a laugh this week? Todd Ness is bringing his storytelling, observational comedy and absurd humour to the Laugh Shop. He’s performed for huge crowds across Canada, including a 10,000-person crowd at the Great Outdoor Comedy Festival in Halifax.

Enjoy a free evening of live music at Heritage Plaza featuring local Alberta artists. This week’s performance by the Dixie Kings will bring energetic historical jazz to the summer lineup.

Skip deciding where to eat and let Taste of Calgary do the work for you. The festival brings together some of the city’s best restaurants, live music and local vendors for a summer celebration where you can try a little bit of everything.

Get ready to see athletes fly across the water at the brand-new competition coming to Predator Bay Water Ski Club. The event will bring some of the world’s top water skiers to Calgary for a weekend of impressive tricks, speed, and skill.
