If you’re looking for an absolutely stunning place to visit while on Quadra Island, you’ll definitely want to add Rebecca Spit Marine Park to your itinerary if you haven’t already. The popular day-use park is situated on a narrow hook of land on the east side of the island, with sandy beaches lining both sides of the 2 km “sand spit.”

Overlooking the scenic Drew Harbour, the marine park is a favourite destination for boaters and on-foot explorers alike.

Relatively easy walking trails lead visitors along both sides of the spit, offering amble beachcombing opportunities, which include an uncommon surplus of driftwood. Swimming, fishing and kayaking are all popular activities at Rebecca Spit’s large picnic area – so bring your drinking water and snacks and set up shop for the day! The breathtaking views alone are worth it.
