Ramadan Kareem, Vancouver! If you’re looking for restaurants in the area that are celebrating the month with Ramadan Iftar specials, we have a few to share with you.
Every year, Ramadan takes place during the ninth month of the Islamic calendar to commemorate the revelation of the Qur’an to the Prophet Muhammad. The sacred month includes fasting from sunrise to sunset, religious reflection, family get-togethers, and sharing what you have with others.
So with that in mind, here are some restaurants with Ramadan Iftar specials to enjoy in Metro Vancouver from March 10th to April 9th.

This Moroccan restaurant has a special menu for the month of Ramadan, complete with traditional dishes like Briwat (triangular dishes filled with ground beef or vegetables), Mesemen (flaky Moroccan pancakes), Batboute (traditional pan-fried bread), and Baghrir (Moroccan pancakes with honey and butter).
Where: 51 West Hastings Street
On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, Luca Restaurant is offering guests an iftar buffet with roasted chicken, lamb tagine, rice, Egyptian salad, samosas and spring rolls, soup of the day, dessert, and Egyptian tea – all for $40 per adult and $25 for children five and under.

Pakwan House is celebrating the month of Ramadan with an iftar buffet with over 22 items, ranging from Mutton Karahi and Korma to Beef Seekh Kabaps and Chana Masala. The buffet is available for $25 from Monday to Thursday and for $30 on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Lahori Sweets & Restaurant in Surrey is bringing back their popular Ramadan combos, priced at $27 each – one with biryani and any veggie/non-veggie dish and the other with either chicken or beef kebab. Note that the combos are available from 4 to 7 pm via take-out only.

Afghan Chopan will be bringing back its annual Ramadan Buffet, complete with spring rolls and samosas, Qaebeli Pallow, Korma, veggie dish of the day, roast chicken, Firnee, milk tea, Rooh Afza, and dates – all for $35 per person on weekdays. For $38 on weekends, there’s an additional roast lamb available.
