This Danish outerwear & lifestyle brand just opened its first Canadian store in Vancouver

It’s no secret that the Danish are behind some pretty big global brands – from Lego to Pandora. Rains joins the list as a contemporary outerwear lifestyle brand providing jackets, layers, and outdoor accessories for all seasons, and they’ve opened their first-ever Canadian store right here in Vancouver.

With a strong urban inspiration and a coated waterproof fabric palette, Rains sells a mix of thick puffer jackets, athletic tops and pants, suitcases, fanny packs, laptop bags, and much more, but it all started with the brand’s reinterpretation of the classic rubber raincoat.

Today, its neo-Scandinavian aesthetic and unisex collections can be found across four continents, with its Vancouver store marking the seventh to open in North America.

“We’re excited to solidify our ties to Canada,” shares Rains co-founder, Daniel Brix Hesselager. “We’ve been working with renowned retailers including SSENSE, Holt Renfrew and Simons for some time, and it felt like the perfect time to cement our presence with a store.”

After launching its Madison Avenue Flagship in New York and Toronto Showroom last year (not consumer-facing), Rains is ready to bring its conceptual-meets-functional approach to outerwear and accessories to Canadian outdoor enthusiasts with its 1,175-square-foot concept store at 2142 West 4th Avenue.

According to the brand, its new Vancouver store is now open, featuring striking artwork from Jacob Egeberg and a mix of Rains’ iconic styles and seasonal collections.
