There’s a giant 900-foot-long snow tubing hill near Toronto

If you’re asking me, winter is the best time to get outdoors! If you’re bundled up properly, the cold weather months can be some of the most fun when it comes to being outside, and one of those fun activities is snow tubing. It requires no skill, meaning anyone can get out for a little thrill on the hill. Chicopee Tube Park is one of the best places to snow tube in Ontario, featuring six different chutes to zip down.

Chicopee Tube Park is a quick trip from Toronto/The GTA, located in Kitchener, Ontario. The commute should take you just over one hour by car

Snow tubing hours vary based on the day, so be sure to check before you venture out:

  • Thursday: 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Monday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Tuesday and Wednesday: CLOSED

You’ll need to purchase tickets to use the tubing chutes, which cost $34 per person for 90 minutes. There are also helmet rentals available, priced at $12 each. Helmets are required for any riders ages 12 and under and all tubers must also fill out a waiver before they can hit the hill. To participate, you have to be at least 42 inches tall and at least four years old, as well.

Now it’s time for the fun part. Once you arrive at the hill you’ll be greeted by the 250-foot tall chutes, running 900 feet long.

Guests have the option to either walk up the hill themselves (fun workout for the day?) or use the magic carpet conveyor belt to get up the slopes.

Once you’ve completed your 90 minutes of fast-paced fun on the chutes, head over to the chalet for a snack! The chalet operates during tubing hours and has classic selections such as burgers, fries, pizza and of course, poutine.

Who are you bringing snow tubing this winter, Ontario?
