From coast to coast there are some truly incredible places to visit in Canada, but those who love the mountains should consider adding Pyramid Island in Jasper National Park to their hit list.

Described as having a “million dollar view,” this stunning destination is located on Pyramid Lake, one of 20 smaller watering holes left behind by the retreating glaciers.

An impressive spot for fishing (license required), paddling, and sightseeing, visitors can explore the islet, or cross the bridge and take a short drive to the nearby beach and get a tan.

No matter where you go, you can take photos, rest your feet and breathe in fresh air before hitting the bustling town of Jasper, which is just 7.5 km away.

If, of course, you just can’t fit all there is to offer in a single day, visitors can also stay at the Pyramid Lake Lodge, a chalet-style alpine retreat with 68 rooms, nearby hiking and biking trails, a great little restaurant, boat rentals and complimentary beach yoga classes.

You won’t want to leave!

Check it out and enjoy. With the sun in the sky, there’s no better time to visit than now.
