Puslinch, Ontario is referred to as a quaint countryside town, a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city.

What better spot for over 100 donkeys to call home?

According to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada, “The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada was founded in August 1992 by Sandra Pady in Puslinch, Ontario with the vision of creating a sanctuary where donkeys, mules and hinnies could live free from neglect and abuse.”

The 200-acre farm welcomes the public to come and meet with the donkeys, an adorable way to spend a day with the family.

The farm is open from the first Sunday of May until the last Sunday of October, so if you want to plan something fun and exciting for the fall then this is your sign.

The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada recommends getting tickets ahead of your visit which you can purchase here. Adult tickets are $20 or $10 for children 3-12. Any child 2 and under is free.

There’s also a family ticket which covers two adults and three children for a set price of $60.

Because it is a working farm it is suggested that those who visit wear closed-toe shoes and dress for any outdoor elements that may come their way.

If you’re driving in from Toronto not only will you get to enjoy the picturesque countryside views on your way, but the trip should only take you around an hour by car.

A perfect day trip to Puslinch is ahead, Ontario!
