The time has come! Pret A Manger has officially opened its first standalone Canadian location in Toronto.
After opening pop-ups in both Toronto and Vancouver, the beloved sandwich and organic coffee chain has checked off a new milestone, continuing its expansion plans in Canada with this latest development.
“This expansion into Canada is a natural next step for Pret globally,” said Jorrie Bruffett, President of Pret A Manger North America.
“We are committed to bringing the Pret brand to more people, wherever they are, and after the warm welcome from locals at our Pret pop-ups in Canada, we’re excited to continue expanding our footprint and menu offerings to more Canadians.”

If you’re not familiar with Pret A Manger’s offerings, you can expect eats like Pret’s Famous Ham & Cheese Baguette, Mediterranean Mezze Salad, and a variety of freshly baked goods.
Stop by for one of its best-selling croissants, paired with an organic coffee, or tea.
Pret’s salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches, and baguettes are all freshly made, and hand-prepared in the kitchen daily.
Though it has opened its doors at 90 Adelaide St as of January 23rd, Pret A will be hosting a grand opening event on February 5th starting at 8 AM
The first 100 customers can get their hands on a free breakfast item on a first-come, first-served basis.
Celebrations will continue throughout the week with daily promos.
Expect free lunch to the first 100 customers on February 6th, a free large drink with any purchase on February 7th, free reusable bottles with purchase to the first 100 customers on February 8th, and a free bakery item with lunch purchase on February 9th, to the first 100 customers.
According to the brand, “at the end of each day, any unsold food will be donated to Second Harvest, helping create lasting, positive change for people and for our planet.”
Since opening its first location in London in 1986, Pret A Manger has established a name for itself within Europe, Asia, and North America.
This new Canadian storefront adds to the over 600 Pret A shops located worldwide – in 16 international markets including United Kingdom, Ireland, United States, Hong Kong, France, Dubai, Kuwait, India, Luxembourg, and Switzerland.
