If you’re in Toronto’s east end, you could be reading this while currently experiencing a power outage. Parts of Cabbagetown, Riverside, and Regent Park are currently in the dark after the power went out on Monday afternoon,

According to Hydro One, they are currently responding to an outage affecting Toronto Hydro and their customers in parts of the east end. “Our crews are working together to restore power as quickly and safely as possible,” they said.

The Outage Map on their website currently shows over 5000 residents are without power at this time. Hydro One states the power outage was first reported at 12:58 pm on Monday, with an estimated time of restoration listed at 8:58 pm.

Hopefully things are restored sooner than expected!
