There’s no shame in forgetting something in a bar, at a friend’s house, or in a cab every once in a while. It happens to the best of us! You put something down, you get distracted and then you leave with your wallet still on the table. Of course, there are a few things that are impossible to desert simply because of their size or importance… or at least that’s what we thought. Leave it up to Uber Canada, which published its annual list of unique lost and found items to remind us that it’s not all keys and lip gloss.
In fact, sometimes it doesn’t matter what it is, how it smells, or how alarming it might be out of context, people are capable of disowning literally anything.
In 2021 people all over the country left a little bit of everything unaccounted for, with the most common being cell phones, then wallets, backpacks, and luggage, keys and headphones.

If you were curious to know what times of the day and week that they were most forgetful, well, it may not surprise you to know that it was Fridays and Saturdays, later in the evening – more specifically at about 8 pm, 11 pm, and midnight.
That brings us to what you’re all here for!
What in the heck was it that lead us to believe that anything could be left behind? Just see for yourself!
Here are the most 20 most unique items that were left in an Uber this year in Canada as voted by the company:
Also, for those of you who were curious we’ve also included the complete lists of most commonly forgotten items and most forgetful cities below. Let us know if any of them surprised you!

Well, there you have it, friends. Consider this a lesson learnt! Keep your eyes on your belongings no matter what they are, because the last thing that you’d want is Uber Canada publishing it in their annual list of lost and found items. How embarrassing.
