What do pizza places, dogs, and public art pieces have in common? Well, the answer is simple, friends! You can never have too many of them. In addition to a good slice of Hawaiian and parks full of fur babies, we just love Calgary’s many murals! This is why we thought it was pretty cool when Home and Away announced that they were creating their very own.

“Drawing inspiration from the Beltline Urban Murals Project and Reigning Champ’s “Rhek City Pack”, Home & Away’s new mural celebrates Calgary’s identity and history,” they said in a press release.

Featuring the images of iconically persistent figures like Jarome Iginla, Joni Mitchell and Hidy & Howdy, this vibrant piece is also said to be a nod to Calgary’s resilience through the pandemic.

“Home and Away hopes this mural will not only inspire others to contribute to Calgary’s growing art scene but invoke meaningful dialogue and thoughtful connections,” they continued.

If you’d like to see this bad boy for yourself, the sports bar said that the piece will be unveiled on April 11th, so keep your eyes peeled, Calgary! It’s going to be a good one!
