These are Ontario’s most popular baby names for 2021

With 2022 coming to a close, the Ontario government has unveiled the most popular baby names in Ontario for 2021. And a few of the top choices have clearly had us in a chokehold for over a decade. Ontario parents love them – and with reason.

According to the provincial government, the top baby names in Ontario were Olivia and Noah. Apparently, the name Olivia has actually been the most popular for girls for over 10 years – 12 consecutive years in top place, to be exact. Emma also continues to be a very popular name and it just so happens to be this year’s second-most popular name for girls.

When it comes to boy names, Noah is in the top spot for the third year in a row. Liam trails behind in second-most popular, once again.

And a few of these names, especially the top two for girls and boys are also the most popular baby names in Canada for 2022, according to parenting site, Baby Centre.

Comparing the two, the lists look pretty similar but there’s no surprise here, they’re adorable names!
