Sports fans, rejoice! The Edmonton Oilers are once again in the Stanley Cup playoffs, and we’re thinking about all the best places to watch their games. From viewing parties to the city’s best sports bars, you’ve got tons of options to watch the Oilers in all their gritty glory. So, let’s hit the ice!
Here are the best spots around Edmonton to watch Oilers playoff games.
We’re starting with the biggest party of them all! The Ford Tailgate Party presented by the Oilers themselves will feature both 18+ and family-friendly areas, food, drinks, Oilers alumni, and of course, a massive screen to watch the game on! Fun bonus- you can also watch away games in Rogers Place itself for just $5.
Where: 10360 102 Street NW
With over 75 beers to choose from, this sports bar is a far cry from the ‘pour me a lager’ standard. But of course, you can’t go wrong with the classics, and they’ve got drink specials for anyone looking to enjoy a whole pitcher with their pals.
Where: 11248 104 Avenue NW and 8882 170 Street NW (in West Edmonton Mall)

Did you know? Edmonton is home to Canada’s oldest municipal golf course
For something a little more upscale, we’re pointing towards Central Social Hall. There are TVs to catch the game, of course, but the food menu here is a little more diverse than just a burger and fries. It’s a great mix if you’re going out with pals that aren’t super into hockey.
Where: 10909 Jasper Avenue
Next up is one of the newest names in the city. Home & Away quickly became a staple spot in our neighbours to the south, and they’re sharing the love with the Edmonton location. Expect delicious food, tons of TVs to see the game in all its glory, and specials each and every time you visit.
Where: 10363 104 Street NW
Speaking of Calgary imports, GRETA is the perfect choice for those who want a little bit of excitement during intermissions. Grab a table, grab a couple of drinks, then challenge your pals to a race in Mario Kart while you wait for the players to hit the ice once more.
Where: 10141 109 Street NW
This spot in West Edmonton is a true blue neighbourhood pub, and we love it for that. For over three decades, Uncle Glenn’s has beena go-to for hockey games thanks to its many TVs, delicious pizzas, and drink specials as a little cherry on top.
Where: 7666 156 Street NW
Thanks to its many locations around the city (plus Duggan’s Boundary), Sherlock Holmes is a great option if you’re looking for something outside of downtown. It’s not a tough sell- like our above pick, this name has been around since 1985, and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
