There are some restaurants that just have to be experienced, at least once. They might not be winning awards, or getting Michelin stars, but their reputation alone makes them more than worth trying. So, when we found out that P.F. Chang’s is opening its third Canadian location in Alberta, we just knew that we had to talk about it.
In a press release, the American-born, Asian cuisine inspired brand announced that it will be opening its first outpost in Western Canada in the ‘Currents of Windermere’ development in Edmonton. So far, there are only two other P.F. Chang’s in all of Canada- one in Winnipeg, and one in Laval, Quebec.

They’re really going for it in Edmonton, too. Once open, guests can expect a ‘memorable environment’ to enjoy their meals in. This plan includes everything from an enclosed patio to ‘iconic murals and statues’ of both notable Edmonton residents and global figures. Who’s going to be immortalized at the first P.F. Chang’s in Alberta? Well, we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
What won’t be a surprise, though, is the menu. Taking inspiration from Japan, China, Korea, and beyond, P.F. Chang’s is known for both faithful recreations of classic dishes (like Wonton Soup or sushi rolls) to its own signature options (Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps and the Kung Pao Brussels Sprouts come to mind).
While an official date hasn’t been set, this new and notable addition to Edmonton’s restaurant scene is set to open in ‘early 2022’. We don’t know about you, but we’ll be keeping our eyes open for the next announcement!
When: Slated to open early 2022
Where: 6303 Currents Drive NW
