The home that Oilers legend Peter Pocklington once owned is now for sale (PHOTOS)

Have you ever wanted to own a piece of hockey history? While the house at 8638 Saskatchewan Dr. in NW Edmonton has a ton of curb appeal, it’s worth noting that Peter Pocklington once owned the property and now it’s for sale, realtor Sandy Pon confirmed to Curiocity.

Best known for being the owner who added Wayne Gretzky to the Oilers’ roster in 1978, Pocklington oversaw the team’s ‘Dynasty Era’ in which they famously won 5 Stanley Cups.

Walls can’t talk, but if they could, we’re sure the next owner of this 7 bedroom, eight-bathroom behemoth would get their $3.2 million worth in tea alone – perhaps regarding some of the most controversial trades maybe ever, including The Great One himself.

Of course, the view isn’t half bad either!

Located minutes from the Royal Mayfair Golf Course and the University of Alberta, the lot overlooks Hawrelak Park and the river valley and currently has a hot tub, outdoor pool and a large patio.

The area itself is extremely private and while the interior could use some work but it has serious potential!

Peter “Puck” Pocklington sold the house in 1991 to move to Palm Springs where he currently resides at 81 years old.
