Kimpton Saint George may just be the friendliest pet-friendly hotel in the city. The boutique hotel is playful, cozy and sophisticated all at once. It hosts a social hour from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. every evening in the lobby, morning coffee and tea in the lobby credenza, and has free bikes for you to borrow for a cruise around town.

Its central location makes it ideal for those travelling with a furry companion. Not only is there an off-leash dog park just minutes away, but the University of Toronto campus and Queen’s Park are also nearby, both of which are perfect for a stroll with your pup.

It’s not just dogs that are welcome at the Kimpton, though. Pets of all sizes and shapes are invited to stay, “as long as they fit in the elevator,” the hotel’s website says — and at no extra charge, either! From bowls to beds to treats, your pet will have everything they need within paw’s reach here.

Ace Hotel Toronto is one of the newest pet-friendly hotels in the city. The stunning 123-room hotel just opened its doors in July and features both a main-floor restaurant and a rooftop lounge. Plus, there’s a great off-leash area in the park right behind the building.

Guests are limited to two pets per room for an extra charge of $25 plus taxes and fees per pet, per night.

Pets are welcome in most areas of the hotel, except for the gym and food and beverage areas. They also can’t be left alone in the rooms unattended and guests are responsible for any damages.

If you’re travelling with an animal that isn’t a dog or cat, reach out to the hotel staff to see how you can be accommodated.
