We appreciate a trend just as much as the next person, but it’s not often that fully invest ourselves in a particular clothing item just because a star is wearing it … unless of course that celebrity is Pedro Pascal and the clothing item has tiny Calgary landmarks on it.

Hot off the success of HBO’s hit show ‘The Last Of Us’, Pascal was spotted in Hollywood this week wearing YYC-themed socks designed and sold by local company, Friday Sock Co.

While we can’t be sure, it’s safe to assume that he picked them up while filming the post-apocalyptic series which was famously filmed in Alberta last summer.

“So cool to see @pascalispunk (from the world’s new favourite hit show – @thelastofus wearing our YYC-themed socks somewhere in Hollywood,” they wrote on Instagram.

“Luckily, TMZ was on-site to capture the moment. Just when you couldn’t like him more, he goes and supports local. Thanks, Pedro.”

Want your own Mandalorian-approved socks? While you’ll have to get in line, this mismatched Saddledome/Calgary Tower pair of foot warmers can be purchased for only $16.95 CAD on their website here.

As it turns out – Joel has great taste and we’re honoured to lend a city landmark to Pascal’s piggies.
