Seattle is getting its first Ceviche Bar & it’s at this beloved Mexican eatery

If you’re one of those people who crave Mexican food at least once a week (guilty!) then you need to check this out. Community staple Pecado Bueno has just added a whole new Ceviche Bar to its Fremont and Eastlake Restaurants – and it’s the first of its kind in Seattle!
What is Ceviche?

Pecado Bueno is a local favorite, beloved for serving hand-crafted, authentic Mexican fare in Seattle’s Fremont and Eastlake neighborhoods since 2011. Ceviche is a beloved Latin American dish featuring a variety of seafood marinated in zesty citrus juices, complemented by bold spices, herbs, and vegetables.
Seattle’s newest ceviche bar will feature 17 rotating recipes served with fresh house-made chips. These recipes reflect regional ceviche styles inspired by the coastal kitchens of Peru, Mexico, and beyond.
From the tangy Peruvian-style ceviche with its classic leche de tigre to the spicy Mexican-inspired shrimp ceviche, each dish is crafted with precision and passion by their talented chefs. Featured fish and shellfish include sea bass, rockfish, halibut, salmon, tuna, shrimp, octopus, scallops, and calamari, complimented by a range of marinades and toppings.
In the words of James Schmidt, Pecado Bueno CEO and Founder “I have been thinking about and perfecting this concept for more than ten years,” he said. “I have loved ceviche since my college days in San Diego, where I was introduced to it for the first time. When I realized no one else was doing this in Seattle, I knew we had to make it happen.”
What else do they offer?
In addition to the ceviche bar, Pecado Bueno offers a delicious menu crafted from fresh ingredients like sustainable seafood and hormone-free organic-fed chicken, beef, pork, and eggs.
Some fan-favorite dishes include street tacos, birria tacos, carne asada, and all-day breakfast options that include chilaquiles and huevos rancheros con carne. They also offer a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free menu items if you have dietary restrictions.
While you’re there, make sure to try the signature margarita! It’s a Seattle favorite and only costs $3.99! Pecado Bueno has a full bar and cocktail program that also features an Oaxacan Old Fashioned, El Capitan Colada, and classic Sangria.
So if you’re in the Fremon of Eastlake neighborhoods this week, make sure you check out Seattle’s first ceviche bar! One of those $3.99 margaritas couldn’t hurt either…
