The Peak of Christmas is a beloved annual tradition atop Grouse Mountain that transforms the top into a winter wonderland, complete with an illuminated Light Walk around the lake and an ice skating pond. It’s the perfect place to make holiday memories with your loved ones!

Families can visit Santa’s Workshop, get creative with festive crafts, check out an exciting “slide zone,” and meet Vixen in his reindeer habitat. Visitors also have the chance to meet characters like the Grinch and some of Santa’s friendly mountaintop elves.

Sledding, ice skating, and sleigh rides

The sliding zone will be located just west of the skating pond, providing two lanes of groomed terrain for your sledding enjoyment. Sleds can be rented for $5 at the Fireside Hut, and season-long rental access is available for $15 per person.

Want to catch a sleigh ride through a snow-covered forest? Just behind Santa’s Workshop is a sleigh ride operating when snow conditions permit, typically between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily, but be sure to check “Today on Grouse” ahead of your visit!

The popular Theatre in the Sky is also back with classic holiday movie screenings to complete the experience.

Santa’s Workshop will be open at the following hours:

  • 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov 21, 2025
  • Noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025
  • 1 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025
  • Noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025
  • 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. from Saturday, Dec. 13 to Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2025
    11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 24, 2025

After your visit with Santa, photos can be purchased for $5 a pop at the kiosks in the Peak Chalet, with all proceeds going towards Family Services of the North Shore.

Live music will play at the Peak Chalet, including classic carolers, choirs, and musical groups on select days.

Want to take advantage of another time-honoured tradition at Peak of Christmas? Breakfast with Santa will be held at Altitudes Bistro on Dec. 6 and 7, and Dec. 13 to Dec. 24, 2025.

How much is admission to the Peak of Christmas?

Family ticket rates range from $99 (Nov. 21 to Dec. 5, 2025) to $135 (Dec. 6 to 12, 2025) to $155 (Dec. 13 to 25, 2025), depending on when you go.

Skate rentals for the Lower Mainland’s only mountaintop ice skating pond are available for $10 per adult and $6 per child.
