Luckily for those without car access, you can visit a handful of BC’s most scenic destinations via Parkbus, Canada’s non-profit bus service. From Garibaldi Lake to Golden Ears, to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park – you’ll have plenty of beautiful mountain vistas to see and crystal blue lakes to dip in.

And now, the bus service has officially launched its weekend schedule for the season – so all that’s left to do is plan a trip and hop on!

Simply take the Parkbus from downtown Vancouver (near Burrard Station) and visit the stunning provincial park, car and hassle-free. And if you’re inclined to take a colder plunge into one of the lakes – we say go for it!

Parkbus will drop visitors off at the official trailhead for Joffre Lakes Provincial Park and send visitors on their way – as there are no guided tours available. So be sure to check weather conditions before arriving, and prepare accordingly.

The journey is approximately three hours from Vancouver to Joffre, but the coach seating, air conditioning, and onboard bathroom will make it a comfy trip. Best of all? Day-use reservations are not required for Parkbus passengers!

The pick-up location from Vancouver is located downtown at 1025 Dunsmuir Street, adjacent to the Bank of China. You can hop on board on select days between Saturday, June 17th and October 9th.

Get ready for the ultimate road trip!
