Note that all movies commence at 8:15 pm, rain or shine, and there is free underground parking at the library.
And if you’re looking for a Saturday night outdoor movie to watch, head to Edmonds Park on August 26th to check out Shazam! Fury of the Gods at 8:30 pm.
Also returning in August is Burnaby’s Summer Stages at Confederation Park (250 Willingdon Avenue), which features two amazing live performances every Tuesday to Friday from July 11th to August 25th – one at noon and one at 2 pm.
According to the City of Burnaby, performers on this year’s roster include Cosmo’s Clown Circus, magician Wes Barker, Bollywood dance with Karima Essa, Celtic music with Blackthorn, Burnaby Lyric Opera, ventriloquist Kellie Haines, and Elvis tribute artist Aaron Wong. So no matter what your preferred genre or style – there’s a concert for everyone here.
Finally, we come to the last outdoor series at Burnaby Parks to keep an eye on: Sounds Like Summer. Every Wednesday to Friday from July 12th to September 1st will feature pop-up concerts by local musicians, from Burnaby Mountain Park to Deer Lake.
Among the featured performers are indie folk-rock artist Joline Baylis, and the talented Chris Ho.
So there you have it, Metro Vancouver. The list of free outdoor events this summer keeps getting longer!
