Osheaga announces ‘unprecedented’ superstar lineup for this year’s festival

One of the most iconic music festivals of the summer has announced its return with a jaw-dropping lineup of performers. Osheaga will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this July 2022 with a packed-solid weekend of major headliners.

Montreal’s Parc Jean-Drapeau will host the festival as it does each year, inviting major acts like the Foo Fighters, A$AP Rocky, The Kid Laroi, Kygo, Charli XCX, Dua Lipa, Machine Gun Kelly, and tons more.

In their announcement, Osheaga claims that this year’s festival is set to be “one of the biggest parties of the decade” — after missing out on two summers of dancing in packed crowds, festival-goers are in for a very exciting weekend.

“This year’s lineup is almost three years in the making; it has given us a lot of time to reflect on the last fifteen years,” said the founder of Osheaga Nick Farkas in the announcement.

“We wanted to stay true to our roots by putting forward a lineup that is diverse, eclectic, and multi-genre, as well as finding the balance between current and more established artists.”

The lineup is definitely diverse and multi-genre, ranging from rap to indie pop to rock. Some of the other artists set to perform are Big Sean, Porter Robinson, Mitski, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs who headlined the festival in 2009.

Festival season will definitely be in full swing in Ontario, with Boots & Hearts, VELD, Canadian Music Week, the TD Jazz Festival, and more set to return. Other major events are returning too, including Pride, Caribana, and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Dare we say it, we can finally look forward to a normal summer this year!
