There’s a charming fall drive through an Ontario town with striking views

Summer is over — at least it feels like it. If you’re ready to face the changing season, this scenic fall driving route in Ontario is definitely worth the adventure. Get your playlist ready, add some Norah Jones and hit the road. Your fall adventure begins in Orangeville, Ont.

Orangeville’s tourism page has shared its favourite driving routes in the area, which promise “plenty of twists and turns along with beautiful vistas and ample opportunities to snap that perfect photo.”

Orangeville is about an hour away from Toronto, and it is the perfect way to experience fall foliage in the province.

Love, Orangeville recommends stopping by one of the town’s amazing cafes for a cup of joe and treats to fuel you on your fall adventure. This journey takes about an hour and a half to complete.

The route

According to the site, your adventure begins at the Orangeville Visitor Information Center, where you will drive north on Highway 10.

From there, you’ll head east onto Hockley Road, where you will head past the Farmhouse Pottery & Gallery CafeHockley Resort, and Black Birch restaurant.

“Next, follow Airport Road and learn the history of our region with a stop at the Museum of Dufferin,” it adds. “From there, the route winds through breathtaking scenery and striking views, including Ruskview Heights, one of the highest points in the area.”

To make it easier on you, the tourism page mapped out the route to take.

And once you’re done, do yourself a favour and stop at one of Orangeville’s local eateries.
