Ontario’s dreamiest yoga studio is actually a boathouse on Lake Muskoka

If you’re ready to namaste your stress away, this is definitely the place to do it. The Spirit Bay Boathouse fitness studio sits on the tranquil waters of Lake Muskoka and hosts a range of indoor-outdoor yoga, pilates, and barre classes with views you simply can’t beat.

Spirit Bay Harbour is one of the largest marinas on Lake Muskoka. It’s located five minutes from Bracebridge, an ideal cottage country spot. Classes are hosted daily in the open-air space, which faces the boats floating at the harbour and a lush forest landscape behind it.

The studio features surround-sound music to immerse you in tranquil vibes. There are healthy snacks, smoothies and juices for purchase, as well as a retail boutique that sells Canadian-made yoga gear. Classes are taught by some of the most talented instructors in the Muskoka region, according to the studio’s website.

After your class, you can treat yourself to some more R&R by choosing one of the many spa services that are offered at Spirit Bay, like massage therapy or a manicure.

A brand new lakeside patio has also opened up at the marina. Tailwinds Bar & Grill serves up comfort food and 11 flavours of ice cream, not to mention incredible sunset views.

To enjoy everything this destination has to offer, you may want to spend a night or two in the area. Thankfully, there are tons of cool Airbnbs you can rent in the Muskoka region, like this unique treehouse cabin or dreamy loghouse.

Classes are offered daily and you can stay in the loop on the schedule by subscribing to the marina’s email list.
