Ontario Parks will be free for one day only this summer & it’s coming up

Summer is almost here and if you’re ready to enjoy it to its fullest, Ontario Parks will welcome visitors for free use, one day next month. This is your chance to explore Ontario’s provincial parks at no cost. Here’s what to know.

Mark your calendars because on July 19th, visitors are welcome to explore any of the operating Ontario Parks, for free, all day long.

The one-day-only celebration, Healthy Parks Healthy People, permits visitors to enjoy their local Ontario provincial parks, use its facilities, and even partake in a fun event.

“The time to strengthen and rediscover our connection to nature is now,” shares Ontario Parks.

“Ontario’s provincial parks are home to some of the most inspiring and beautiful landscapes in the country. We want to increase the awareness and uptake of the strong benefits linked to spending time in nature.”

Those who visit a park will be given a complimentary day pass and can enjoy the park facilities until 10 PM that same day.

However, it’s important to know that you will still have to pay for facilities not included in day use, such as camping and equipment rentals.

Additional costs of swimming pool use at Bronte Creek and Earl Rowe provincial parks will also remain in effect.

Don’t forget to mark down your calendars for July 19th. You don’t want to miss out on this outdoor experience.

Have fun out there!
