Is that grocery bill looking more and more expensive every time you shop? Groceries in Canada are skyrocketing but there are still ways to save some bucks on your weekly shopping trip. Stop by The Grocery Outlet where you can find some of your favourite brands AND more for up to 70% off.

With 10 locations across Ontario, The Grocery Outlet is Ontario’s hidden gem for inexpensive grocery items with fantastic discounts.

And yes, that means you’ll find goodies up to 70% off. There’s no catch either, according to The Grocery Outlet, they work directly with most manufacturers to buy products at the lowest possible cost.

These items are manufactured “as first quality but due to minor imperfections they may not meet factory specifications.”

There may be times where manufacturers change the packaging, items are either discontinued or have a slightly damaged exterior. But nonetheless, the food is still in great condition to eat.

“Many customers inquire about where the product comes from and why we are able to sell at such low prices! We deal directly with major Canadian and US manufacturers and distributors, whom from time to time run into inventory problems,” shares the grocer.

“The majority of the product we see is usually a result of overproduction. The manufacturer has produced more than they predicted would sell over a period of time, and they need to clear the product out of their warehouse… they call us.”

Per their Instagram account, some of the items you can find here include Maison Riviera dairy goods, Perrier, French’s, baked goods and more.

It’s important to note that sometimes these items are close to their expiry date but you can always find ways to preserve them like freezing your goods to stay fresher for much longer.

And another thing, it’s not like your traditional grocery store where you will be certain to find the same items every time. Products vary depending on the shipment received.

But it doesn’t hurt to check out all they have to offer.

There are currently 10 locations across Ontario, one of them being in Toronto at 1150 Sheppard Avenue West.

So if you’re trying to save big bucks on that grocery bill, stop by The Grocery Outlet and stock up!
