Ontario is home to several of Canada’s top growing companies, according to a new ranking. “Canada’s Top Growing Companies” includes over 400 companies, several of which are based in Toronto and Mississauga.
The ranking is produced by The Globe & Mail, and began in 2019 as a way to “celebrate the boldest entrepreneurial achievement by identifying and bringing the accomplishments of innovative businesses in Canada to the forefront,” according to a release.

In order to qualify for these voluntary programs, the Globe states that companies had to complete an in-depth application process and fulfill requirements. What are the requirements? A company “had to have at least $2 million in annual sales in its most recent fiscal year. Companies had to be for-profit, Canadian-run, headquartered in Canada, and independent.”
And this year, among the 430 businesses on the list, “there are four purveyors of cannabis, 12 logistics providers, four companies catering to fur babies, and one that specializes in satisfying your craving for ramen.” The majority of them are in Ontario.
The full list of companies can be found here.
