Ontario is taking the world stage when it comes to hotel stays. CN Traveler’s annual Hot List 2023 is now live and two Canadian hotels were named among the best new openings in the world.
The annual list gathers a list of the world’s best new hotels, cruises, restaurants, cultural destinations, and transportation projects.
The global team spends the entire year researching, visiting, and vetting the entries in order to bring forth a straightforward and respectable directory. Having compiled a world list of the best experiences, two of the Canadian spots added can only be found in Ontario.
Something of which we can be very proud of.

According to the directory, Toronto’s Ace Hotel and The Royal in Picton are the only two Canadian mentions on CN Traveler’s Hot List 2023.
Though one is located in one of Canada’s biggest cities and the other in a more rural town, the two hotels showcase true Canadian hospitality whether it be through its modernism or history.
Both hotels display luxurious yet minimalist designs throughout, whether it be in rooms or its restaurants.
A little definitely goes a long way. And it helps as their overall environment not only brings comfort but a more wholesome stay.
The Toronto mention was also recently added to another list and recognized for its luxury.
Placed 25th out of 100, Ace Hotel was recognized for its amenities, restaurant offerings, and overall chill ambiance where people can stop by and work in the day and enjoy an evening out later in the day.
Now if you’re looking for a little staycation or are visiting the province and need ideas, start here and check out what The Royal Hotel in Picton or The Ace Hotel in Toronto, have to offer.
