It’s the most wonderful time of the year and there’s no better place to enjoy the festive lights and fresh air in Calgary than Olympic Plaza!

Now open for the season, gliding, falling and showing off at the Olympic Plaza ice rink has long been a tradition for families, friends and love birds who live in (or regularly visit) our beautiful city.

Located in the heart of downtown, this enchanting destination is the only refrigerated outdoor ice surface in the city which means that even on warmer days, it’ll remain safe and accessible to the public.

It’s also the perfect spot for a photo op thanks to its twinkling LEDs, trees and the fantastic view of the Calgary Tower and City Hall.

Olympic Plaza is open between 6 am and 11 pm 7 days a week, though it’s worth noting that their rental hut is closed on Monday and Tuesday and before 4 pm as well as after 9 pm.
