Dating apps are a pretty normal part of life these days. Many people see them as the main way to meet both potential partners and even friends. But no two apps are alike and now Offleash’d is adding something a little more niche into the mix.
Offleash’d describes itself as a “social app” created by pet people for pet people with the intention of bringing people together for both dating and friendships. It was created by Seattleite Manish Methai who has nearly a decade of experience in the tech world.

Methai wanted to create a place where users have the flexibility to make connections to suit their individual needs and create long-lasting relationships. That’s exactly what he did and more, but what makes the app even more interesting is that it’s not just for cat and dog lovers. Animal lovers and pet owners of all kinds are welcome, whether thats birds, reptiles, horses, you name it.
Overall, the goal is to spread the joy and well-being that pets inspire and that seems like something pretty much anyone can get behind. As for how the app functions, on the dating side it has a similar matching pattern as other apps, using a thumbs up or thumbs down. You are asked to give a brief description of yourself with photos and also of course upload pictures of your pets.
The social side is very similar, you also have the thumbs up or thumbs down option to initiate a connection. So if you’re single or looking for friends in Seattle, downloading Offleash’d might just be worth a go. You can learn more on the apps website. Enjoy!
