We’ll be the first to admit that we really dove into the whole ‘ski bum on vacation’ vibe these past few weeks, from incredible stays at Whistler to die hard journeys to the Rockies. So, we’re mixing things up this week, and showcasing an amazing oceanfront penthouse loft for rent in Tofino. Swap the skis for the surfboard, because we’re heading to the island!
Overlooking the First Street Dock in the heart of Tofino, this Airbnb is a little less ‘beachside surf shack’ and a little more ‘influencer on vacation’. And while we have a hard time picking one over the other, there’s no doubt that this option shines in the convenience department.

That’s because all of Tofino’s best restaurants, shops, and rental options are just a short walk away, making it super easy to surf (or kayak) in the morning, do some shopping in the afternoon, then grab a bite to eat in the evening. Heck, you can even grab a nightcap without worrying about how you’ll get back to your place- most Tofino rentals are stunning, that’s a given, but accessible without a car is a much harder box to check off.
Of course, this Airbnb (dubbed The Harbourview), excels in both departments! Recently renovated, the loft setup offers tons of natural light, 1 bedroom, and 1 bathroom. But, if you’re thinking this is better for a friends getaway than a romantic retreat, know that the living room also features a pull-out queen bed, offering space for up to 4 adults in total.
And while it’s not exactly the three words most lovebirds are hoping to hear this Valentine’s Day, we won’t deny that ‘oceanfront penthouse loft’ does also have a pretty amazing ring to it, especially when Tofino is attached to it. After all, it is easily one of the province’s most beautiful destinations.
