They say that Laughter is the best medicine and while we’re without a stethoscope or a medical degree – we prescribe a giggle and some fresh air! Luckily for you, the Great Outdoors Comedy Festival is set to return to Calgary this summer with some familiar faces including a recently announced actor who is no stranger to the area!

Bringing legends and newcomers together, this two-day event is not one to be missed by those who love stand-up, especially if you’re a fan of heart-string-tugging TV shows.

In addition to beloved Netflix personality Jonathan Van Ness, as well as Andrew Schulz, Monet X Change and a ton of local performers set to appear over the weekend, Nick Offerman from The Last Of Us and Parks and Recreation will kick off the entire festival on August 25th.

Now, as if 3-days of incredible talent wasn’t enough, it’s also worth noting that a portion of the proceeds made between Friday and Sunday will actually be donated to Queer Accessible Spaces and the Mustard Seed, which is incredible – but not all!

If you’re feeling lucky, there will also be a 50/50 draw in support of the Easter Seals Alberta’s Camp Horizon, an organization that provides outdoor experiences to individuals with medical conditions and disabilities.
