The Seattle Space Needle is lighting up with fireworks, lights & drones for its biggest display ever

Get ready for a sky-high spectacle as the Space Needle prepares for its most dazzling New Year’s celebration yet! The T-Mobile New Year’s at the Needle is back with a bang, promising an unforgettable experience for both in-person and at-home viewers.

This year’s countdown to 2024 will be broadcast to Seattle, Portland, and Spokane, uniting the Pacific Northwest for a night of unprecedented festivities. The star of the show? A breathtaking display of hundreds of lighted drones, illuminating the Seattle sky in a mesmerizing dance of colors, leading up to the grand finale – the largest structurally launched firework show in North America.

Ron Sevart, the Space Needle’s President & CEO, is ecstatic: “We’re thrilled to present our longest and most brilliant show to date.” As the last major time zone to welcome the New Year, the Space Needle and the entire West Coast are poised for a serious celebration.

The Space Needle transforms into a canvas for breathtaking 10-minute light shows at 10:00 PM PT, 10:30 PM PT, 11:00 PM PT, and 11:30 PM PT.

The main 18-minute show kicks off seven minutes before midnight, featuring a spectacular 500 drone performance by Sky Elements and a jaw-dropping fireworks display by Pyro Spectacular by Souza.

For those in Seattle, the best viewing spot is at Seattle Center near the International Fountain, where the sky will come alive with thousands of spectators. If you can’t make it in person, no worries! Tune in to the live one-hour broadcast at 11:30 PM PT on KING 5 in Seattle, KGW 8 in Portland, and KREM 2 in Spokane. And for an immersive experience, catch the live simulcast of the soundtrack on HITS 106.1 in Seattle.
