It’s almost time to ring in 2024 and Toronto isn’t the only city you watch a dazzling fireworks show from!

These New Year’s Eve fireworks shows around Ontario are sure to be just as spectacular, with skating, food, music and so much more included in these celebrations, there is no shortage of fun this New Year’s Eve.

Here are some of the best New Year’s Eve fireworks shows to check out in Ontario.

Brampton 

The City of Brampton will host a 10-minute fireworks show at Garden Square in Brampton’s downtown core. The firework display will happen from 12:00 AM – 12:10 AM but the festivities, including outdoor skating, will begin at 7:00 PM on December 31st.

Mississauga

Mississauga knows how to throw a party! The city holds an annual party in Celebration Square but says this year’s will be bigger than ever. To kick off the City of Mississauga’s 50th birthday celebration, Shawn Desmond is set to headline a live show.

There is also an “extreme snowmobile show” featuring international freestyle athletes performing stunts and tricks in the middle of Celebration Square. And of course, fireworks will cap off the night. Guests can arrive anytime after 8 PM.

Whitchurch-Stouffville

The town of Stouffville will also be having a family-friendly New Year’s Eve event, with free hot beverages (while supplies last), exceptional entertainment, and a fireworks show starting at 7 PM.

When: December 31st starting at 6 PM to 7 PM
Where: Memorial Park, 2 Park Dr, Whitchurch-Stouffville

Barrie

The City of Barrie is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve event, the Downtown Countdown, which draws thousands of people from near and far every year.

The Downtown Countdown celebration will feature musical performances, including headliner Big Wreck, roaming buskers, a bonfire zone, and other family-friendly activities. And this special evening has not one, but TWO fireworks shows – the first at approximately 8pm and the second at midnight.

Niagara Falls

In addition to the incredible Winter Festival of Lights, Niagara Falls will a dazzling fireworks display above the Falls to ring in 2024. If you’re heading to the Winter Festival of Lights before the midnight fireworks show, you can arrive any time after 6 PM.

When: December 31st starting at 6 M
Where: Queen Victoria Park, 6345 Niagara River Pkwy, Niagara Falls

Kingston

Kingston is gearing yo for for their annual K-Town Countdown! The city will be hosting the celebration to ring in the new year, with musical skating, face painting, a Zoo-to-You reptile exhibit, and snacks!

New this year, adults can enjoy “Champagne on Ice” festivities which includes an adult skate and a 19+ comedy show hosted by AB3 Comedy, with a complimentary New Year’s toast! Fireworks will take place a little earlier, beginning at 9 PM.

When: December 31st, 5 PM to 9 PM
Where: INVISTA Centre, 1350 Gardiners Rd, Kingston

The Blue Mountains 

Blue Mountain is the ultimate spot for New Year’s Eve fun! Not only will there be a family-friendly fireworks show at 9 PM and at midnight, but there is a variety of activities to choose from all evening long including the Collingwood Circus, dinners at many of the restaurants (open until 2 AM) on Blue Mountain Resort, and skiing until 9 PM.

When: December 31st all day

London 

London’s Victoria Park will come alive on New Year’s Eve! The night’s itinerary will include two firework displays, live music and entertainment, and outdoor skating – all while visitors enjoy a free hot chocolate and the thousands of holiday lights. The family-friendly fireworks will go off at 9 PM, with the other display at the stroke of midnight.

Lasalle 

This town on the water near Windsor is offering up a warmer option when it comes to watching some fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Located in the large parking lot at the Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex, guests can park their vehicle and enjoy the show from the warmth of their car at 7:30 PM. If you’re looking for something to do after, head down to Windsor’s Bright Lights at Jackson Park, a walk-through light show running until 10 PM.

Where: Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex, 2121 Laurier Parkway, LaSalle

North Bay 

If you’re going to be north for New Year’s Eve, North Bay is putting on an event with fireworks and it’s completely family-friendly. Families can take part in an evening of fun with events such a skating, face painting, button making, interactive reptile shows, magic shows, a colouring contest, and fireworks to end the night at 9 PM.

When: December 31st starting at 5 PM
