Menya Itto Vancouver

First up, a couple of long-awaited chains arriving in the city! Dubbed the ‘King of Tsukemen’, Menya Itto is one of the most popular names in Tokyo, and they’ve finally brought their signature dipping style ramen (alongside more traditional options) to Vancouver.

Where: 1479 Robson Street

Jollibee Vancouver

On that note, Jollibee’s first outpost in BC has finally arrived in Vancouver! This Filipino fast food chain saw massive lines during opening weekend. Now that things have calmed down a little bit, we think it’s the perfect time to try it out.

Where: 833 Granville Street

Shaketown Brewing

Not a restaurant, but still deserving of a mention. Almost two years in the making, Shaketown has become the latest addition to the area’s ever-growing brewery scene. Keep it in mind the next time you find yourself over there!

Where: 288 East Esplanade Avenue, North Vancouver

Bar Susu

Heyo, new wine bar in the city! Not only that, but this is the newest opening from the folks at Published on Main, which has become an absolute sleeper hit in our city’s restaurant scene. Expect great wine, great food, and a great ambience to boot!

Where: 209 E 6th Avenue

Say Hey Cafe

It’s a reopening, but it took so long to happen that it’s more than worth a mention! Plus, the updated menu features new offerings like breakfast and baked goods, alongside the sandwiches that made it a top spot in the city in the first place.

Where: 155 East Pender Street

Hanai

Coming out of nowhere was this Hawaiian-focused concept from the folks behind Dachi and Elephant. Expect a bright, vibrant menu with a drinks list to match, making it an amazing option for those sunny spring days.

Where: 1590 Commercial Drive

Yasma

Long a lauded ghost kitchen, this Syrian/Lebanese cuisine concept has opened a permanent brick and mortar space. They’ve done it well too, with some great interior design and a full menu offering everything from sandwiches to full feasts!

Opening Soon

Mister Kitsilano

It’ll be open by April, but it ain’t open today! Originally announced last summer, Mister Kitsilano is sure to become a super popular spot in the summer. So, we think getting down there sooner rather than later is a great idea.

When: Opens March 25th
Where: 1835 West 1st Avenue

GRETA Bar

Last but certainly not least, this Calgary import is bringing a brand new arcade bar format to the city! Say goodbye to boring old pub food and 20-year-old pool tables. Instead, say hello to delicious treats that will keep you more than satisfied in between Mario Kart competitions.
