Equal parts restaurant and wine bar, this new spot on Main is about to become a go-to for internationally-inspired plates and vino. Stop in after work for a glass or two and check out their delicious a la carte offerings, from doner kebabs to foie gras baklava. Oh, and don’t forget about dessert!

Coming from the same family as Novella, Bar Susu, and Published – Vignette is now open from Wednesdays to Sundays from 5 to 11 pm.

Vancouver just got a new grocer-cafe, and the space practically oozes Italian comfort. Carrying a huge selection of Italian products, dried and fresh pasta, and housemade sauces, the mercato is sure to become a staple visit for anyone looking for great espresso and made-to-order lunches. Stop by between noon and 2 pm for a sandwich or pasta!

The Painted Ship

Vancouver is getting a new retro-themed bar, restaurant, and live music venue all rolled into one called The Painted Ship, which will be ‘setting sail’ with its first-ever event with live music by BC Hydra on Saturday, March 4th.

Toronto-born Daigyo has officially expanded to Vancouver, and the Japanese-style cafe set up shop on Robson Street. Guests can expect to munch on a variety of specialty-pressed sandwiches and sip on coffee, matcha, and other tea, as well as indulge in their signature matcha desserts.

Chai Ghai

A new authentic Indian Chai Cafe has now opened its doors on Granville Street, so if you’re in need of a tasty, warm beverage to weather through the week, this is a great option.

Wildlight Kitchen & Bar

Vancouver’s newest spot for fresh oysters, seasonal dishes and charcuterie boards is now open on UBC’s campus, and it is definitely worth the visit no matter where you’re commuting from! Wildlight Restaurant brings quality, local ingredients to the table with a ton of plates large and small for a taste of the West Coast.

Oh, and not to mention some amazing happy hour specials from 3 to 6 pm every day – including fresh rotating oysters, wings, flatbreads, and sandwiches. And to drink, they have plenty of local beers and ciders on tap, signature cocktails, and an extensive wine list.

Wildlight is now open from 11 am to 11 pm daily.

The Halal Guys

The first Vancouver location for The Halal Guys is set to open on Robson Street, so keep your eye out for the opening date! Known for their delicious falafel platters, gyros, and shawarma, your mouth will definitely be watering long before they open their doors.

Cobs Bread – Cambie

Cobs is opening a new location on Cambie Street and West 8th, which means Vancouverites will soon have another spot to frequent for their fave Cobs orders, and birthday cinnamon buns!

Forêt Noire Café

Last but certainly not least, we have the newest Forêt Noire Café, which is nearly (but not quite) open on Robson Street. For now, you can load up on pastries and specialty cakes at their original spot on West Broadway.

Once open, the new cafe on Robson Street will be open from 8 am to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday, and from 9 am to 9 pm on Sundays.

Pablo Cheese Tart

According to their Instagram page, the highly-anticipated Japanese cheese tarts are still en route to Vancouver. As for their opening date, Pablo Cheese Tart has not yet dropped the deets. But we’re hoping it’s soon!
