Looking for a furry new best friend? Well, you’re in luck because it just so happens to be National Adoption Week in Canada.

Hosted by PetSmart Charities of Canada, this nationwide event gives the public an opportunity to meet adoptable cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies that are waiting to find their forever homes.

All week long from March 6th to 12th, local welfare groups will bring these lovable animals to nearly every PetSmart store across the country.

“Visitors will have the chance to spend time with animals including cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in safe and spacious areas,” says a press release from PetSmart Charities,

“Staff and volunteers will be on hand to help potential adopters learn more about the pets they are interested in and ensure they feel confident in caring for them.”

Not only will you get to meet these adorable pets, but you’ll also learn from the on-site teams about how to prepare and what to expect.

And if you don’t find your paw-fect match right away — your local adoption group is more than ready to help you search for the right pet.

Given that over 90,000 pets enter shelters and rescue organizations each year, adoption is an opportunity to give a dog or cat a second chance at experiencing a loving home.

And thanks to National Adoption Week, all you have to do is visit your nearest PetSmart this week to give these sweet pets the great life they deserve.
