Big cities have their perks, but the small Alberta town of Nanton is so charming that even Hollywood has taken notice.

Located south of High River, this picturesque destination is surrounded by colourful fall foliage, has historical buildings, and was featured on screens big and small.

In addition to HBO’s ‘The Last of Us,’ Nanton also played a role in Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award-winning film ‘Interstellar’, but it’s so much more than a pretty place to be.

Not only are there open prairie views, but there is a ton to do!

Here, you can visit quirky attractions like the Museum of Miniatures, and the informative Bomber Command Museum, as well as the famous candy store and golf course.

However, one of the most popular attractions is the Grain Elevator Discovery Centre.

Known for its unique drive-in movie nights, this “living piece of Canada’s agricultural history,” is a must-visit for visitors and locals alike.
