This short hike in BC takes you to a cascading waterfall and rock canyon

If you’re looking for a magical waterfall hike to check out now that the weather is heating back up, look no further than Nairn Falls. Situated just 20 minutes away from Whistler (and only five from Pemberton!), this is the perfect day-trip destination or place to stop before heading to Garibaldi Lake.

The two cascading falls are 60 metres high, accessible via a 1.5 km hike to the scenic viewpoint (3 km roundtrip). And it only takes about an hour or less to complete, according to BC Parks.

The cool part about these falls is there is no visible connection between the second and third falls. Why? Well, because later in the season the water travels underneath a natural rock wall!

Note that park gates are open 24 hours a day, and park operators are on site between 7 am and 11 pm.

If you’re looking for a fun spot to check out after your hike, consider going for a dip at One Mile Lake, which is 2 km north on Highway 99.
