Hot off the heels of one spot in Canada getting the shoutout, another got on a list of the best beaches in the world! The global publication Big 7 Travel recently put out the rankings of the 50 Best Beaches in the World, and here’s how we managed to get on the list.

While the location isn’t exactly remote, Mystic Beach is not the first name that came to our minds. Located along the Juan de Fuca trail on Vancouver Island, the beach is about halfway between Sooke and Port Renfrew. So yeah, not even in the Tofino/Ucluelet area.

It does offer something pretty darn special though- there’s a waterfall cascading over a sheer rock cliff here, making one of the most picturesque contrasts we’ve ever seen. What’s more, the beach is only accessed by a 2km trail, so you won’t have to worry too much about overcrowding.

The only other one in Canada to get the nod as one of the best beaches in the world? Long Beach, which is in the Tofino area.

What can we say… if you’re after some of best beaches in the world, then Vancouver Island is the place to go. Looks like a last minute summer road trip might be in order!
