Alberta has seen some serious camera action in and around the province over the last few years – and it shows no sign of slowing down. In fact, starting this month, My Life With the Walter Boys will be in Calgary filming its very first season, with a premiere on Netflix to follow.
Based on a young adult novel of the same name, My Life With the Walter Boys will follow Jackie Howard, a teen who is forced to start over on a Colorado ranch occupied by 12 boys after a freak accident turns her life upside down.

While the streaming network has yet to cast any of its leading roles, Variety confirmed that the series would be produced by Ed Glauser and Komixx Entertainment – the studio that worked on rom-com hit The Kissing Booth and its sequels.
According to a recent notice posted by Theatre Breaking Through Barriers, an organization dedicated to advancing actors and writers with disabilities, as well as The Alliance of Canadian Cinema – shooting for My Life With the Walter Boys will kick off in Calgary on March 21st and will run until August 10th, 2022.
