Here’s a throwback. Remember right at the start of the year, when one of the biggest news stories was that Momofuku Vancouver was officially a go? Well, that kind of took a back seat over the past few months. But, on Thursday the iconic brand confirmed it’s still coming to the city! Here’s what you need to know.
Construction on Momofuku Vancouver was supposed to start this spring, with an opening date set for this summer. However, COVID-19 really threw a wrench into those plans. For the past six months or so, very little info has been given on Chef David Chang’s latest venture.

Anyway, the new spot promised to release their new opening details once they reached 1,480 followers on IG. And they kind of made good on the promise. The new plan is to open sometime in the summer of next year. So, a seriously delayed opening from the original plan.
The spot did say that they would try and push the date up if the demand is there. And while we’re really looking forward to trying this spot, we’re not holding our breath.
