Everyone has their opinions about the Mariners, but it’s no secret that Seattle does indeed love its home team. What’s more, this year they have the honor of hosting the MLB All-Star Week. Whether you want to attend the game or check out some free events in the area, we have you covered. Here are 6 things to do during MLB All Star Week from July 7 to 11 in Seattle.

Capital One PLAY BALL PARK

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime indoor/outdoor experience that’s a blend of baseball, softball, music, food, and more. There will also be a lineup of former Seattle baseball legends – including Edgar Martinez, Bret Boone, and Mike Cameron. Get your autographs, and maybe even pose for some photos.

Celebrity Softball Game

Watch as Actors Joel McHale and Adam Devine, Olympian Chloe Kim, social media star JoJo Siwa and NBA player Zach LaVine, along with Mariners Legends Félix Hernández, Bret Boone, and Mike Cameron play a game. Have any idea who will win? You’ll just have to watch to find out.

MLB Draft

How could you possibly miss the draft? Especially when it’s taking place in Seattle this year. Opening night of the Draft will take place at Lumen Field as part of PLAY BALL PARK. There will be two rounds, then compensatory round(s) and competitive balance rounds. Keep in mind seating may be extremely limited and/or sell out.

All-Star Game

Of course, the highlight of this week is the All-Star Game. Luis Castillo, Julio Rodríguez, and George Kirby will represent the Mariners as the new generation of All-Stars. You’ll get to watch as they take their “unparalleled skill, athleticism, and passion for the game” to T-Mobile Park.

Forest for the Trees x RailSpur All-Star Baseball Carnival

This event will feature art exhibitions, murals, live music, and food/beverage, in the RailSpur district which are the buildings and alleyways between Jackson & King, 1st & Occidental. There will be “7 new murals by local artists commissioned by the MLB, a baseball-themed exhibition in the gallery, 5 days of live performances, beer garden and all ages games and activities designed by artists.”

When: July 6th-11th

Outdoor events in Occidental Square

The Alliance for Pioneer Square is hosting several outdoor activations during All-Star Week that are open to the public. The first is a free pop-up roller skating rink on July 8th–15th from 11 AM–6 PM, there will be skates available for use. Then there’s there will be 80s and ‘90s arcade games and a DJ on July 8th and 9th starting at 10 AM. Last but certainly not least there will be a beer garden from July 8th–July 11th that runs from 11 AM–6 PM.
