Looking to try something new? How about something delicious and filling like a donburi bowl? If that’s up your alley, you’re in luck because Seattle just got a brand-new restaurant called Minato Donburi. We probably don’t need to tell you what their specialty is.

Minato officially opened on Thursday, October 12th in Seattle’s Wallingford neighborhood. The new restaurant is sister to both Issian Japanese Stone Grill and Kokkaku.

Keep in mind Minato is operating on a takeout-only basis but delivery will be available soon. The current menu includes items like a classic Chirashi Don, Hamachi Don, Minato Don, and Salmon Don among many other bowls.

Also on their menu is a unique offering called a “Sushi Sundae”, don’t worry there’s no ice cream in it. Rather, these “sundaes” are kind of like mini dons, instead of classic sundae toppings you’ll find ingredients like fish, tofu, and unagi all served over a bed of rice.

Other than the don and sundaes, Minato has limited sides like a spinach salad and miso soup. So if you’re in the mood for donburi, you know where to go. Enjoy!
