Gastown is hosting a free event with immersive light show, live music and tons more

Gastown BIA is at it yet again! Bringing us an evening to remember that is. To help us make the most of the long and warm days, Gastown BIA has been hosting some fun events all through summer. And they’re giving us another chance to make the most of the soon-ending summer with their Meet Me in Gastown event.

Come Thursday, August 25th, the neighbourhood will turn into a giant community celebration.

Just in case you missed the memo, Thursday nights in Gastown are usually a hoot. Thanks to the toe-tapping musical performances that take place all along Water Street. But Meet Me In Gastown is taking things several notches higher.

There’s going to be the usuals — exceptional retail and culinary experiences. There are going to be outdoor games like giant Jenga, beanbag toss and building blocks.

Then there will be a live performance by Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. And finally, there’s going to be an utterly beautiful, immersive light show by Go2 Productions.
And all of this is free to attend by anyone and everyone.

So, scratch whatever plans you have, round up the squad and hit Gastown on August 25th to join in the festivities. We’ll see you there!
